Abraham E. Brustein, a graduate of Northwestern University and DePaul College of Law (1976), has specialized in debtor-creditor relations for over twenty-five years. He frequently represents businesses and business people as debtors in reorganizations, debt restructuring and liquidations, both within and outside of bankruptcy proceedings. Abe also represents entities acquiring property from bankruptcy estates and businesses being sued by bankruptcy estates. In addition to his bankruptcy practice, Abe has substantial experience in representing people in restrictive covenant and unfair competition litigation, shareholder and partnership disputes and sales commission disputes. For the past eight years, he has been active in the local chapter of MANA, an organization servicing sales representatives and the manufacturers whom they represent. Abe has been with Di Monte & Lizak since 1998.
